LAND BASED TOURS BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICIES 2009

Responsibility

Ecuadventour Expeditions guarantees a professional and organized trip. We promise to make your tour to Ecuador an exciting and memorable affair. We act only as an agent between the passengers and tourist services provider: transportation, hotels, restaurants, and/or related travel services and assumes no responsibility for any injury, personal damage, death, or loss. In addition, Ecuadventour cannot be liable for delays in departure or interruption of your vacation arrangements caused by weather conditions, technical problems of any airline, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment or instrumentality, strikes, civil disorder, or any causes beyond the control of Ecuadventour.

Baggage is carried at owner's risk. Ecuadventour is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to your luggage. Baggage insurance is strongly recommended.

General: Ecuadventour Expeditions reserves the right to alter any itinerary in dangerous situations, inappropriate weather conditions or any situation that commits an outrage against the safety or well-being of the passengers. The right is reserved to substitute hotels of similar category or change schedules without prior notice should circumstances so require

BOOKING POLICIES:

The following payment schedule and amounts are required to confirm bookings:

All space requests and reservations must be sent in writing to info@ecuadventour.com  or alfredo@ecuadventour.com  for clients, international tour operators and travel agencies.

To confirm any reservation we require a deposit of 30% of the total amount. Only when the deposit is received, the booking is re-confirmed. 

If no deposit is received within 10 business days of the booking, the reservation request will be cancelled automatically.

Final payment (balance: 70%) must be done 60 days prior departure tour date.

Any adjustment to the above arrangements can be confirmed only by the Reservations Department and must be in writing to be valid.


Important Notes:

All payments indicated above must be received by the specified due date or the reservation will automatically be put in option by the system and corresponding deposit amounts forfeited.

Payment and booking politics are subject to change.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

The following cancellation penalties will be applied at the cut-off times indicated below for FIT or groups.

120 - 61 days or more prior to departure:

Cancellations made with 61 days or more prior tour date will be retained an administrative fee of USD 200 per passenger.

60 to 31 days prior to departure:

• 50% of all payments received will be retained as penalty and balance will be refunded.

30 days or less prior to departure:

• Full payment (100%) will be retained as penalty.

Any changes to the above arrangements are not valid unless confirmed in writing by the reservation department. All cancellations must be sending in writing to alfredo@ecuadventour.com or info@ecuadventour.com

NOTE: For Galapagos cruises we will send you payment politics according each company cruise.

PASSENGER INFORMATION:

Ecuadventour requires this information:

1. - Full names of all passengers as they appear on the passport, passport number, expiration, nationality and date of birth. 2. - Hotel contact in Ecuador prior of the trip 3. - Any special dietary request, allergies or medical conditions. Registration Form

All this information would be received no less than 30 days prior to the departure, except for last minute bookings.

PREVENTION OF MISCONNECTING FLIGHTS: We recommend that all passengers traveling to Galapagos arrive to Ecuador two days' pre and post to their cruise to allow for potential flight delays and misconnection. Ecuadventour is not responsible, if passengers do not arrive on time to take flight to Galapagos or international.

 
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We recommend that passengers purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to protect themselves from any potential loss before and during your trip. Insurance is optional and recommended to protect against losses due to trip cancellation and interruption, travel and baggage delay, emergency assistance, medical expenses and evacuation.

Ecuadventour will not be responsible for any financial disappointment caused by reasons beyond our control and no refunds or partial refunds will be given for late cancellations or no shows due to any reason.
